And literary agents are paragons of ethics and have never been known to get things wrong, or embellish things like say, I don't know, make an author seem more worldly than he actually is.

Had you chosen to have read the attached articles GAK you might have noticed that in discussions with the publisher they mentioned in most cases, while the authors agents submitted their bio information, the info was also typically proofed and approved by the individual authors prior to publication.

'Course it's not that great a stretch to believe a man who would lie about such personal life details like when and where his parents met (at a civil rights rally which took place 4 yrs after he was born), or about how his Mom had "battled with uncaring insurance companies before her death", which he carped on about in many of his speeches as he sought backing for his wildly unpopular Obozocare legislation when facts provided show no such battle, much less even any wrangling ever took place at all, would also fabricate other life details to best suit the scenario at hand, facts and truth be damned.

Show me a man that would lie about such intimate details of their life and I'll tellya that same individual is very likely a pathological liar, an observation psychological profilers will typically point to as well.

In typical social justice/libspeak fashion it's amazing how you'd choose to attack the messenger (his literary agent), as opposed to the message itself, which is in this case is either manipulation of the factual details, or indeed the real truth itself (*facepalm*)

I didn't "choose to attack the messenger (his literary agent), as opposed to the message itself" and I wasn't "defending Odamna by trying to refute the claim". I was merely pointing out the original post is hardly categorical proof of your president's country of birth.

Obama is a politician and, unless he is a saint (which I don't believe for a second), he would have lied about something to get into office. I don't think there is a politician in history who hasn't.

As Blah pointed out, nothing is going to change. If there was sufficient evidence to kick Obama out of office it would have been found by now, and even if there is evidence that is yet to be found it's not going to be found by the likes of you or I. Whining on here about it certainly isn't going to bring it to light. Deal with it and move on.

You're all very witty motherfuckers and clever as hell. Seriously, you are. You should be very proud of yourselves and you can all go home now thinking you won an argument on the internet too. I've been licensed to drive and had the same address for over 30 years and when I renew next year I'll have to show my birth certificate and proof of residence, as though that will prove I'm not a terrorist. Actually, I haven't had the same address for over 30 years - I've lived at the same place that long but back around '85 they paved the road and changed it's name & my number. Maybe I should take 'em on a tour of the area and tell them what was here in "the old days" to prove my residence.

Hey BlahBlahBlah, you might like this one, it's been doing the rounds for a few years in different versions for different countries. Here's the Australian version...
"A friend sent this.  I don’t know how to check it, and anyway that’s not the point.  This primal scream is a fine example of how dangerous and stupid statism is, and wonderfully reminds us how important it is to fight against the statists, all the while remembering to laugh at them.  And ourselves, of course…

Here you go:

AUSTRALIAN LETTER OF THE YEAR.
This is an actual letter sent to the DFAT (Department of Foreign
Affairs and Trade) Immigration Minister. The Government tried
desperately to censure the author, but got nowhere because every
legal person who read it nearly wet themselves laughing!

Dear Mr Minister,

I’m in the process of renewing my passport, and still cannot believe this.
How is it that K-Mart has my address and telephone number, and knows
that I bought a television set, a golf clubs and 6 condoms from them back in 1997,
and yet the Federal Government is still asking me where I was born and on what date?
For Christ sakes, do you guys do this by hand?

My birth date you have in my Medicare information, and it is on all
the income tax forms I’ve filed for the past 40 years..

It is also on my driver’s licence, on the last eight passports I’ve ever had, on all those
stupid customs declaration forms I’ve had to fill out before being allowed off planes
over the past 30  years.

It’s also on all those insufferable census forms that I’ve filled out every 5 years since 1966.
Also…  would somebody please take note, once and for all, that my mother’s name is
Audrey, my father’s name is Jack, and I’d be absolutely fucking astounded if that ever
changed between now and when I drop dead!!!…

What the hell do you people do with all this information we keep having to provide??
I apologise, Mr. Minister.  But I’m really pissed off this morning..

Between you and me, I’ve had enough of all this bullshit!

You send the application to my house, then you ask me for my  address!!
What the hell is going on with your mob?  Have you got a gang of mindless
Neanderthal arseholes working there!

And another thing, look at my damn picture. …  Do I look like Bin Laden?
I can’t even grow a beard for God’s  sakes. I just want to go to  New Zealand  and see
my new granddaughter..  (Yes, my son interbred with a Kiwi girl). And would someone
please tell  me, why would you give a shit whether or not I plan on visiting a farm in the
next 15 days? In the unlikely event I ever got the urge to do something weird to a sheep
or a horse, believe you me, I’d  sure as hell not want to tell anyone!

Well, I have to go now, ’cause I have to go to the other side of  Sydney, and get another
fucking copy of my birth certificate – and to part with another $80 for the privilege of
accessing MY OWN INFORMATION!

Would  it be so complicated to have all the services in the same spot, to assist in the
issuance of a new passport on the same day??

Nooooo..  that ‘d  be far too fucking easy.

You would much prefer to have us running all over the bloody place and then have to find some ‘high-society’ wanker to confirm that it’s  really me in the goddamn photo! You know the photo… the one where we’re not allowed to smile?!.

Signed – An Irate Australian Citizen.

P.S. Remember what I said above about the picture, and getting
someone in ‘high-society’ to confirm that it’s me? Well, my family
has been in this country since before 1820!  In 1856, one of my
forefathers took up arms with Peter Lalor. (You do remember the
Eureka  Stockade!!)

I have also served in both the CMF and regular Army for something
over 30  years (I went to Vietnam in 1967), and still have high
security clearances. I’m also a personal friend of the president of
the RSL… and Lt General Peter Cosgrove sends me a Christmas card
each year.

However, your rules require that I have to get someone “important” to
verify who I am; You know… someone like my doctor -who was born in Pakistan
!!!…… a country where they either assassinate or hang their ex-Prime Ministers
 - and are suspended from the Commonwealth and United Nations for not having the “right sort of government”."

Oh, I think it's probably preventing attacks in some ways but that just causes a change in strategy on the part of anyone who wants to cause terror. There are so many soft targets spread throughout the country that it wouldn't take a lot of imagination or skill to make a coordinated attack on multiple targets and really do some damage. I wouldn't say the security efforts have all been futile, but a determined enemy will find a different target.

You 2 guys however seem to be so enamored with Obozo that even reading what is plainly stated can't be objectively inspected, only belittled and downplayed.

Should justice ever prevail in this case (which I highly doubt will reach fruition, since congress itself has to act on it, and obviously there's no will for that) I'd be willin to bet even then you guys will continue to just as blindly support him (*facepalm*)

"the ability to read between the lines and conceptualize what the unsaid also reveals"

That is also a good description of making assumptions and you are very good at that.

You can of course think what you want to but it doesn't make it fact. As I have stated several times I do not support any of the current politicians campaigning for the presidency. There is nothing in between the lines to read.

I don't vehemently hate Obama, is that what bothers you? That certainly doesn't mean I support him though. I won't fit into your mental categories Kim. I just won't. Quit trying.

A great line from a terrible Steven Segal movie: "Assumption is the mother of all fuck-ups".

You have no conception of my sense of justice and what I do when faced with injustice from what I choose to share on here kim.

You talk about justice prevailing as if you are judge and jury in this and have already made your determination, and then you accuse us of injustice and blindly believing in a position. I would suggest you look in the mirror, but you have already stated that you think people like you are portraying yourself to be should stuggle with how they see themselves, so I wouldn't want you distraught by the image you see.

I have never stated on here that I support Obama, but I believe that critisism of public figures should be based on fact, not conjecture, on attitudes and behaviour, not race, gender or creed.

One thing that's particularly irritating to me is when someone starts claiming it's racial prejudice when another person critisizes a person of a different race for something that has nothing to do with race. In my view, that makes the person claiming there's racism going on the racist in such an instance, and the sad thing is that person can't see he's succumbed to a form of racism because he believes he's acting with noble intentions. This happened to me recently when I said something critical of the First Lady that had nothing to do with her race.
