Some of Ron Paul's ideas are almost getting there but I still don't like them. Is he better than the other choices? I don't really think so. He goes too far with some things and not far enough with others. Bottom line for me is he is just another politician and I'm more likely to vote for Elmer Fudd.

Ok, I just have to ask: What constitutes over the top and what dudn go far enough in RPs stated policies?

As the only candidate in the running who truly has an impeccable record in defending the principles clearly outlined in the Constitution and voting only FOR things that are Constitutional, what about the Constitution would you seem to take issue with Blah confused

I don't take exception to the constitution but I do take exception to RP's stance on social services. There are some AMENDMENTS to the constitution I don't agree with. If you want details then I will have to get back to you on those. I'm trying to fix a computer and take care of some kids right now smiling

The constitution gives congress the power "To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States..." I'll leave it at that.

I honestly do NOT wish to get into a political discussion, debate or whatever with you or anyone else. My views are my own. I don't expect nor necessarily desire anyone else to agree with them. You can call me what ever you'd like to but I can assure you that whatever convenient boxed definition you can put me into in your mind is not my reality.

Of course nothing you related above even alludes to anything I inquired about.

I'm curious though what was your original point in posting to an obviously political thread and then saying you're not interested in discussing your stated views?

I shouldn't post comments when I've been drinking smiling

I don't agree with him on women's rights.
I don't agree with him on church and state.
I don't agree with him on entitlements.
I don't agree with him on immigration.
I don't agree with him on foreign policy.
I don't agree with him on the Fed.
I don't agree with his idea of free market, seems more like a free for all to me. Unchecked greed is not economically wise and I don't trust business to do the right things. It is all to obvious that they won't unless they HAVE to.

I don't really have a problem with the constitution itself and I don't know what gave you that idea. I do think it would have been smarter if the bill of rights was included in the main body and not a string of amendments.

Fair enough. Now out of absolute curiosity, given the cast of characters in the upcoming election, which of them would seemingly be the best choice in November confused

I look at it this way; Ron Paul's way will be difficult but it's according to the principles the US was founded on which will get us back to firm economic footing. If we don't do it that way now, it'll be even harder to straighten out the mess we're in now if we elect anyone else who will just kick the can down the road for my three year old grandson to deal with when he comes of age.

I was kinda hoping Santorum would have stayed in the GOP race longer.
