Most people, at least those of a certain age, have heard the phrase, "If you can't say something nice about someone then don't say anything at all." I think part of the reason the media are virtually ignorring Ron Paul despite his good numbers in the polls is that they've turned this phrase around to say, "If you can't say anything bad about someone then don't say anything at all." They are speechless in the face of an honest, decent man who has no skeletons in his closet, does not flip flop, and always, always follows the U.S. Constitution.

But wait, there's more ....

When a candidate can't be bought off or manipulated into the old "go along to get along" Good Ol Boy ideology the press will do everything possible to downplay, overlook and marginalize them.

To every insider Ron Paul is a threat to everything they stand for because he opposes it all and speaks all too plainly of how the same ol same ol in US politics is EXACTLY the biggest part of the political problem known as US Politics.

Ron Paul is the only candidate in the race honest and forthright enough to deserve my support.

The real shame is the US electorate as a whole is so consumed with chowing down on their Dancing with the Stars and Kim Kardashian Soma to even be aware enough of what's going on in the candidate selection process, much less understand the ideology behind the candidates to ever elect the right man for the job

Call it what you like but I'm all in favor of proposing a simple 3 question political quiz before allowing anyone to vote. If a voter can't name the current Prez, VP and Speaker of the House then they have no business even being allowed to vote as they obviously are too politically unaware of the simple chain of command in the presidency and constitutionally dictated line of succession to have a clue of what's going on in the country hot smiley

that would eliminate 7% of the 10% that actually take the time to vote in this country. (*facepalm*)

And having an actually informed electorate, no matter how small, elect the leader of our country would be detrimental in what way?

When a president is elected on the quality of sound bite sized stump blurbs, skin color or by a popularity contest instead of their grasp, stance and position on real world issues .... we all lose.

If there's any doubt about that just look at what we have now and tell me again how effective those tactics were at electing anything resembling a real leader (headexplode)

Well I can name the president and vice president but the speaker escapes me. Ron Paul will not make it because people know nothing about him and many voters do not want to waste their vote by voting on someone who has no chance of winning in their minds.
