the other night I was sitting on my patio looking at my backyard, and I thought,
I need some more lighting out here......
I thought about my solar powered lights and how they really just arent a good
fit for the usually-not-sunny pacific-northwest. I thought;
wind powered
lights would be the way to go...I got kind of excited as I thought of a
design...the base would would house the heaviest parts, i.e. batteries and
generator. atop that would be a wind turbine, to power the generator and charge
the batteries...and at the very top would be either a lantern or spotlight, or
both....I thought to myself, "you're pretty fucking smart sometimes.."
Then I thought, alot of other smart fuckers out there too.......better check
google and see how many other people have thought of this, I bet it's alot, no
way I'm anywhere near being the first to think of this...I was right about
that...

It took a while to find it. The same kind of thing happens to me. I get what I
think is a brilliant idea and then sure enough find that someone else thought of
it and built it already.

someone else had already built it.
