I just got this new 60-inch Sony Bravia today. (Model KDL60NX800, $3659.45 direct from Sony, including 5-year warranty, delivery and set up.) Now I just need to find a way to get rid of the bird's nest of wires from my TiVos, Blueray player and home theater. Any ideas?

Well, since you already have your little bitsy dog bowls laid out, and the doily on the mantle, and ... a couple of dolls on display, I'd say you're on your own, lady.

What do my wife's ridiculous collectibles have to do with anything?

Thank goodness I have a huge monolithic TV now to balance out some of that frou frou stuff. As for the dog bowls, I have two Jack Russells. They're small, but they're very cool dogs.

Hidin the cables is a challenge. One accessory I heartily recommend is a UPS to protect it and your other gear from voltage spikes and lightening strikes. Every bit of hardware here at the casa has 'em and I highly recommend 'em. Just remember, that gear costs a helluva lot more than a good 500-850 watt APC unit, makin it cheap insurance all in all smileys with beer

Knowledge? Sheez man you can take everything I know and about $4 and head off to Starbucks to get yourself a good cup o joe grinning smiley

College? Now that's really comical skully. Let's see, about 25yrs ago I took 6hrs worth of real estate sales classes and a 2 hr weldin course I dropped out of after I figured out I already knew more than the fuckin instructor/professor after the 1st 5 classes. That's it or my college. Luckily I graduated from a high school rated in the top 10 in the state at the time so I actually GOT a good public education, unlike what they do for kids today.

I just took the idea of protectin all my computer gear and extended it to protect all my Tvs, DVD players, computer speaker systems and such.

My big boy in the LR is only a 53" but I'd be one sad sack if it got fried so the $80 APC unit it has between it and the wall is money well spent as I can see it winking
