If it were to be achieved "for nothing" that would be great. However, that's simply not the case at all as a definitive byproduct of the "global warming" push also includes huge taxes to be levied on all the major industrialized nations which then is to be "redistributed" to all the Un-industrialized nations. If it were to be collected and then used for cleanup methods within these industrialized nations that would have some reasonable logic attached to the idea, but that's NO PART of their plan.

The global warming push also has as a byproduct the intent of funneling billions of dollars into the coffers of "green product" manufacturers. If you wanna get really wealthy (like Al Gore whose wealth has risen GREATLY since he began his push for this shit) all you gotta do start up a company whose claim is that your intended products are gonna be "green" and you'll find investors and tax incentives abound to help move you in that direction.

This of course flies totally in the face of actual entreprenurial enterprise and success which is simply achieved by hard work or making a product people want or have a real (or at least perceived) need for.

If you see this hocus pocus and manipulation of science as anything but a nifty form of wealth redistribtion on an international scale that smacks heavily of the "one world government" socialistic adenda you're quite obviously missing the point completely (*facepalm*)

What if there really is man-made global warming, but we can't do anything about it because we spent trillions "solving" something that wasn't really the problem? Before we rejigger the economy and life-style of everyone on Earth, we kind of need to know what we're doing, instead of running around like frightened schoolgirls, screaming about how we have to "do something, before it's too late." Even now that we know there's been at least a decade of fraud and FUD by AlGore and the CRU Crew assholes, millions of people think we should still plow ahead, as if nothing has changed. How about we start with a computer model that doesn't "hide the decline", and see where that leads?

I wish my memory of the details of the following account were more clear but I remember reading a comment from the leader of one of the African nations to whom the accords in Copenhagen had initially intended to be able to dole out a sweet $30,000,000,000 payment to and he was saying that $30 billion was just far too small a figure and that if that figure weren't increased to $100 billion there would be no way they would be willing to accept it.

I'd be willing to bet that $30 billion would have probably covered most if not all of their whole annual national budget, but oh no, that's just not a reasonable figure? And what exactly would his country have been responsible for having done with all that cash?

One base issue I have with this whole international taxation accord process is : since when does ANY international organizations decision to levy a tax upon people of any individual nation have any validity? How is it that any such organization would have a legal right to levy taxes on the US, Canada, India or any other country?

The short and sweet answer to the above question is When The Leader Of The Country Agrees To It And Signs An International Accord that then holds the citizens of their nation accountable for that signature, That's When!

Had all the leaked emails not surfaced regarding the manipulation of one of the major bodies of "scientific work" used to assert the claims of those like Al Gore and indeed our illustrious prez. just in the nick of time which then led to crawfishing on the whole conference by Gore and Obama you can just about rest assured he WOULD have signed onto the accord. Wisely he understood with his public opinion already at an all time low, that wouldn't have played out so well in light of the scandal so he chose to back down from outright acceptance of it all.

Of course with a treasury that's devoid of any possibility to just whip out the billions that he'd have agreed for the US to have pledged with his signature it would have made a great tool to come back home afterwards and proclaim to the American public that passing his damned Cap N Tax BS would now simply HAVE to be adopted so we could pay it hot smileyhot smileyhot smiley

If global warming were real and it was cause by man then there would be nothing man can do to about it anyway short of disappearing from the planet. Who would like to be first to remove your footprint from the Earth? Al come on be the man and stand behind what you are saying. Show us you believe in global warming and remove your footprint from the world.

"I can't recall the wheels coming off the bus of any expert-driven hysteria as fast or as completely as they are now coming off the global-warming scare. ... News of the manipulations, distortions and frauds perpetrated to advance and preserve the environmentalists' cause celebre are so numerous and coming so fast, it's hard to keep up.

First, of course, there were the e-mails and computer files leaked from Britain's Climate Research Unit (CRU) -- one of a handful of climate-research centres around the world that are the pillars of the United Nations' claims about impending climate doom. ... Then a couple of weeks ago came the news that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the UN's climate-change arm, had based its most recent findings on Himalayan glacier melt on an old study that had never been peer-reviewed or even published and which was based entirely on the speculation (not research) of a single Indian scientist who now works at the environmental think-tank run by the head of the IPCC, economist Rajendra Pachauri.

This by itself wouldn't be devastating, except that the scientist in charge of the glacier chapter of the IPCC's latest assessment report (AR4) admitted he had known the melt estimate was wrong but had included it anyway because 'we thought that if we can highlight it, it will impact policy-makers and politicians and encourage them to take some concrete action.' That's not climate science, it's environmental activism, pure and simple....

Another revelation of malfeasance this week was the discovery that the chapter on Amazon rainforests in the IPCC's AR4, the one that included the often-repeated claim that 40 per cent of the forest is under imminent threat from climate change, was written not by climate scientists but by an policy analyst who works for environmental groups and a freelance environmental author. ... In all, so far, at least 16 major claims made in AR4 (the report for which the IPCC won a Nobel Prize) have been shown to have originated with environmental groups rather than scientists.... Does all this prove global warming is a hoax? I believe it does. But at the least, it shows the science is far from settled." --Edmonton Journal columnist Lorne Gunter

most weather in the central hemisphere of the U.S. originates in Texas and moves easterly. so here's a hypothesis: all the lakes in Texas (all but 1 are man made) seem to create most rain that brings weather of all kinds as far as the east coast thus creating unusual climate changes. so here's the idea....all you mother fuckin' non Texans QUIT FUCKIN' MOVIN' HERE!! and we won't need to make more lakes to get you drinking water and such thus slowin' climate change down from Texas east. eye

Fossil you are talking to the wrong people about people moving to Texas. You need to tell the damn Mexicans to quit sending their invasion forces in. Texas is overflowing with illegals.
