The really interesting thing about this pic is that this elaborate set up was used to address ..... wait for it ........ wait

A ROOM FULL OF 5th GRADERS!

I came across the full pic earlier today which shows a much larger view of the podium and classroom and now I can't find it again (*facepalm*)

I hear ya dude, and every president's done this for ever, but for real, a teleprompted talk to 5th graders? Sheeez louize man.

I guess to insure we don't instill any further doubt in the ol prezs intellectual prowess it might prove prudent to insure he never goes on "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader" since they don't seem to allow 'em smiling bouncing smiley

I think they might do it when it's more of a press conference from a grade school, vs. being there to only talk to the kids. Maybe to announce something to do with education? I dunno.. I just agree it probably costs a whack of cash.
