Koni Shocks,

Can some one help me out with these instructions.

I have new Koni 80-2156SP1 front shocks.

The box says they are adjustable.

The instructions show rear shocks.

I don't understand steps 2 & 3

Do I extend the shock and then turn them?

Can I compress and turn as well?

Shock ratio's eg 90/10

Am I adjusting them at both top and bottom?

Or turning them and while extended adjusts them softer or stiffer for both compression and extension?

The only thing I am clear on is maximum adjustment is 2 turns.

Well I did Google it. But maybe not well enough. The other side of the instructions is more basic. Having a try with it before installing. Turning the shock only when compressed makes a difference. I can have it easy to extend or compress. Or easy to compress and hard to extend. I was hoping that some one with hands on experience with koni shocks would read this. So far I have got people with Google experience. I assume mine is 80's Series with std adjustment.

I had Konis on my '70 Jaguar XKE.

To adjust the damping, I recall that you would fully compress the shock shaft until it bottoms out in the shock body, then rotate the shock shaft clockwise to increase the rebound damping. (This slows down the ability of the shock to extend)

Compression damping (the force require to compress the shock) is not affected.

every tome i fully depress my shock, it bends a bit, but then rebounds an extra inch or so deeper, she really loves that part.
