I guess that I'm a "racist" too. Come to think of it, I think that VP Biden is a bigger doofus than Pres. Obama, so I guess that makes me anti-white and anti-Catholic.

Uncle Tom/Uncle Ruckus there.
HAHAHA

this scene is my favorite <33

Grandad: *****, if you ruin this party for me, I'll put my...

Huey: Ruin the party? They love me. These people aren't worried about us. They're not worried about anything. They're rich. No matter what happens, these people just keep applauding.

Uncle Ruckus: Attention please. Attention please. My name is Uncle Ruckus, no relation. I want to sing y'all a brand new song I just wrote called "Don't Trust Them New ******* Over There". Sing along if you know the words.

Uncle Ruckus: Don't trust them new ******* over there / Leaving they ****** essence in the air / Them happy, nappy head ******* / With they finger on the trigger / Don't trust them new ******* over there / Don't trust them big nostrils over yonder / They suck up so much air it'll make you wonder / Don't them new ******* / With they spidey little ****** figures / Don't trust them new ******* over there.

Rich Woman: I think the N-word is OK as long as they say it.

Uncle Ruckus may be the funniest thing that has ever been on TV.

As anyone can plainly see by the subtle nuance this image reveals we see another simpleton astrsoturfing slave/pawn of the big insurance consortium, corn fed by the lavish drippings of the capitalistic Republican elite, poised to disseminate carefully choreographed and meticulously calculated misinformation/disinformation factoids. Simply another anti-American, Nazi loving chess piece filled to overflowing with racial prejudice on a mission of absolute destruction of any and all things Obama.

Yep, and anyone buyin into all that loveliness has a shining career awaiting them in the halls of ABC, CBS, MSM, NYT, or any of the other choice haunts of the elitist psychobabble purveyors. Those places where Carosels made famous by 1984 crank out their illustrious fabrications and the likes of Winston write and rewrite todays and yesterdays realities with all the more vigor for flare, fascination, titillation with careful attention to stealthy concealment always more part of the plan than depiction of anything resembling non-fictionwinking

Jim, don't you know why Biden was chosen as VP? It was a protection issue, he is the president's bullet proof vest.

"We warned of things to come, of the danger inherent in unwarranted government involvement in things not its proper province. What we warned against has come to pass. And today more than two-thirds of our citizens are telling us, and each other, that social engineering by the federal government has failed. The Great Society is great only in power, in size and in cost. And so are the problems it set out to solve. Freedom has been diminished and we stand on the brink of economic ruin. Our task now is not to sell a philosophy, but to make the majority of Americans, who already share that philosophy, see that modern conservatism offers them a political home. We are not a cult, we are members of a majority. Let's act and talk like it. The job is ours and the job must be done. If not by us, who? If not now, when? Our party must be the party of the individual. It must not sell out the individual to cater to the group. No greater challenge faces our society today than ensuring that each one of us can maintain his dignity and his identity in an increasingly complex, centralized society. Extreme taxation, excessive controls, oppressive government competition with business, galloping inflation, frustrated minorities and forgotten Americans are not the products of free enterprise. They are the residue of centralized bureaucracy, of government by a self-anointed elite. Our party must be based on the kind of leadership that grows and takes its strength from the people." --Ronald Reagan

Ok Libs, here's some really straight shootin aimed squarely at some of the logic behind your leaders tactics. If you can, please debunk these ideas but keep in mind that we're looking for reasonable explanation and facts which means staying on target and issuing concise points to state your position.

"One plain fact should outweigh all the words of Barack Obama and all the impressive trappings of the setting in which he says them: He tried to rush Congress into passing a massive government takeover of the nation's medical care before the August recess -- for a program that would not take effect until 2013! Whatever President Obama is, he is not stupid. If the urgency to pass the medical care legislation was to deal with a problem immediately, then why postpone the date when the legislation goes into effect for years -- more specifically, until the year after the next Presidential election? If this is such an urgently needed program, why wait for years to put it into effect? And if the public is going to benefit from this, why not let them experience those benefits before the next Presidential election? If it is not urgent that the legislation goes into effect immediately, then why don't we have time to go through the normal process of holding Congressional hearings on the pros and cons, accompanied by public discussions of its innumerable provisions? What sense does it make to 'hurry up and wait' on something that is literally a matter of life and death? If we do not believe that the President is stupid, then what do we believe? The only reasonable alternative seems to be that he wanted to get this massive government takeover of medical care passed into law before the public understood what was in it. Moreover, he wanted to get re-elected in 2012 before the public experienced what its actual consequences would be. Unfortunately, this way of doing things is all too typical of the way this administration has acted on a wide range of issues." --economist Thomas Sowell

What to me is equally as interesting as is the above is another often overlooked part of the discussion of the proposed healtcare bills and the total costs involved in its implementation.

Though the figures range between $800,000,000,000 and $1,200,000,000,000 for implementing this program over a period of 10yrs the figure quoted by Big O himself obviously or naturally must also include the costs to implement the massive new bureaucracy that will be needed to oversee and implement this program, which is also touted at $800,000,000,000.

What this sounds like is what we'll be paying for over the course of the next 10yrs is actually just the cost of setting up the overall system. Unless of course we wind up with spending the loftier $1.2 trillion dollar program which would then leave us with $400 billion to actually SPEND on some of the promised healthcare for the 300 million people it would cover.

Sadly if you look at what that means amortised over a 10yr term is IF we buy into the bigger is better $1.2 trillion dollar program it would leave us with the ability to spend a whopping $133 per year on each person covered. By that figure we'd all better hope no one in the US needs treatment within that term for anything annually more involved or expensive than treatment for a cold each year totally lost

MrKim, quote Reagan all you want, he was a goofy puppet, Cheney, Rumsfeld and all of those other draft dodgers were the ones behind the scenes telling him what to do..... also, look at some charts concerning the overall economy over the last fifty years, Reagans was the one that skyrocketed in all the bad ways.... when you love a President that use to be an actor, you are the one that is licking ass with blind eyes, personality does NOT necessarily get things done!

Reps and Dems...

The health care reform is to be put into effect in 2013 because Odamna expects to be in office for a second term and he doesn't care about the repercussions of it then. He is hoping it will get him re-elected and after that he just won't care. Couple that with America being too politically correct and he will probably succeed. Political correctness and his promise to get us out of Iraq got him elected this term. So why are we still in Iraq? What happened to all his promises?

Machi, I posted the Reagan quote because it seemed relevant to the issues of the implementation of big government, not as a means to and end in some Reagan schmoozefest. If you'd like to rail against the content or logic contained in the quote, by all means please do.

My personal thoughts are that problee 90% (if not more) of all politicians are BS artists and con men, and their party affiliation seems to have no bearing on whether they are or aren't. The reality still remains that people will basically choose to align themselves with one party or the others agenda, philosophy and direction as a basis for how they feel government should be run.

However, anyone attempting to define their personal position on government by total agreement with one party or the others line and then choosing to blindly endow either party with 100% of their backing seems shallow and illogical. I have never, nor would I ever, vote nor recommend anyone else to vote a straight party ticket winking

I recommend in the next election for everyone to vote against anyone currently in office regardless of the party they are associated with. It is time for a house cleaning.

Thanks machi, I can occasionally exhibit brief glimpses of civility.

BTW, you can also install miro which will let you DL and save even vids that are ... undownloadable on Youtube. They also have tons of cartoons, short subject films, news, nature and other categories of vids, many in HD all free to DL and keep.

You might wanna check out jamendo.com also. Another new music artists site that lets you DL upcoming artists and then donate directly to 'em if you like.

While many things can be said of Reagan several characteristics that were extremely endearing to me were that he was a pretty straight shooter, had an overall attitude about big govt. that I find myself in agreement with and .... he had some big balls when he represented the US here and abroad. Walkin softly while carryin a big stick is a good position to work from winking

During Reagan his big stick was the military but since then we did away with the draft and lost our stick for a twig. Sooner or later we will suffer for this.

I think you said something about Miro long ago, I tried it and all I get is blue stuff, it's not them, it's my computer, any video I download/play has an extreme blue tint to it, VLC is the only thing I can use that doesn't do that and even then I have to turn off the 'Overlay Video Output'..............

I'll have to get a new computer before I worry too much about video.

Anyone still into actual Magazines? You can get subscription for almost pennies on the dollar at this site.
