Yep. Obama screwed the pooch on that one big time.

Maybe the "Learning moment" will be his and Gates....

Seems to me that both Gates and the grand puppetmasters subsequent statements were pretty obviously examples of playin the race card and racial profiling against a white police officer. Of course this assessment will never hold water since all whites are constantly reminded only "WE" can be racists or ever be accused, much less guilty of such actions.

My contention is the cop would have reacted similarly to anyone having responded as Gates did to his simple request for identification and the subsequent "Do you know who I am!" BS regardless of their skin tone and the only reason this was ever an issue in the press was because it was heralded as a "racial" event and that the puppetmaster then reacted unwisely by commenting on the situation publicly without even being aware of all the details (a sign of poor leadership/managerial skills all in all) which led to a backlash of criticism of both himself and Gates.

So now the puppetmaster wants to have 'em both over to the Whitehouse for a beer and commiserate over the whole incident. Gates attorney was quoted as saying Gates neither expects to extend nor receive any apologies at the get together, and why should he? The police department already dropped the charges against him in an obvious "bowing to external pressures" move, something that would never have happened if Gates had been white, or not a personal friend of the puppetmaster. So .... I'm sure great progress will be made in tonights get together handjob

o yeah ....
Cops lied on the police report ,there was never no mention of 2 black men breaking in a house like the police said.
Whats that have to do with Gates's ID? Guess lying by police while at your house is ok, right?

actually he was in his when yelling and they asked him to step out. then arrested him.

If any black officers show up to your house because of your alarm and you thank them and they are black and then they dont believe you live there and then ask you to prove it and then they wont except your id while your in your house . Tell them i said to fuck -off.

I bet that Crowley has no interest whatsoever in attending this bullshit shmooze-fest at the whitehouse.Crowley has taught racial profiling for
over five years and being a cop in the DC area I'm sure he has seen it all. This beer thing is an absolute joke! Who in their right mind would
want to sit with the "Messiah" and his minion after all that has transpired?! Next Gates will be on Oprah, then Maury, then that old bald black veteran dude, write a book, sell the script to Spike lee and line his courdoroy suit jacket with suede elbow patches full of greenbacks. This entire
feel good, lets all hold hands media photo-op is actually sickening.Everyone involved should just say sorry STFU and move on!

plus613 is made up of all kinds of folks and yes it is moderated, just obviously not in touch with whatever racially biased undertones you might prefer madnez2, which is what makes it a unique corner of the e-world.

I know the following will be wasted words lost on one like yourself, but hey, it's all just keestrokes, so WTF.

Racism is all over the world, some places are more deeply steeped in it than others, but so long as different skin tones exist, so will racism, so get over yourself about it. Racism is treating someone of a different skin color differently, but it's also NOT treating someone the same as they would their own race because of their differing race.

I've known lots of white folks in my life, kind of a given considering it's my race. Now here's the interesting part though .... having been raised in the great state of Texas and also having spent all my life here I can honestly say I have never seen any racists as hard core about it as some of the black folks I've met.

Even much earlier in life here when areas were definitely more segregated than they are today I never heard anyone say to myself or anyone else "What's that black motherfucker doin in our part of town?" while not only have I heard the converse of that statement made here, I've had it asked of me personally with much more than curiosity in the tone of voice being conveyed.

I can remember one of the most revealing afternoons I ever spent regarding racism was one I shared at a black buddy of mines Dads house where I had been invited to celebrate his Dads birthday. His Dad had been my very 1st boss when I started my working career years earlier and his son Greg and I had wound up working together some 20+ yrs later and then found out he was my old boss' son and after hid Dad found out he requested Greg bring me to the party.

Anyway, Greg had 3 sisters who were also there and lemme tellya they were NOT happy to see me there whether I was an invited guest of the host or not. The whole afternoon I would catch them staring at me with obvious disgust on their faces. It actually was so obvious that their Mom finally took 'em aside and told I was welcome in their house whether they thought so or not and to cool their shit and behave or leave.

I've been at many family get togethers and such over the years and have NEVER seen similar behavior regarding anyone black who was in attendance.

The "race card" is a powerful weapon for anyone of a differing skin color too weak to stand up for themselves. I've never heard anyone white say "It's 'cause I'm White!" but I've damned sure heard "It's 'cause I'm Black" lots of times. Seems to me anyone with a brain should be able to see such statements only come from a posture of weakness and self doubt eye

Hey doofy, think about it another way. If Crowley had refused the offer to be a party to the puppetmasters (all too obvious) photo-op/smoozefest this evening what do you think would have been said about him then? Not too hard to figure how "Crowley Proves Himself A Racist!" would have been tmarras headline from coast to coast winking

Well i grew up in Arizona and saw racism everywhere from indians,to mexicans and evereyone else.
But your wrong about one thing
white man put under the boot indians for a long time. including he first uses of chemical warefare on people
then with his self appointed authority declared war on anything including the made up mexican war to take over that pathetic state of texas.
All the while owning black people which it declared a second citzen

less than one generation ago whitey was dogging everyone.
i dont know anyone whos used the race card. ive been picked up by police and held for over twenty hours. i was an american and they were sweeping for illegals. i didnt complain.

And i dont use the race card in here...only you ladies seem to keep mentioning it to me.

Some of my best friends are white and black. you may not want to be sensative to there race, but your dads dad was probally killing them.

Hell the most popular slogan ive heard is from the south and it goes "The south will never forget and will rise again"

well, we aint forgotten either...................

i'm white and i feel inflicted upon by that mentality. because some stupid people in the past acted irresponsibly, and worse, that some retribution is called for? in fact preferential treatment? more rights? come nman, this mentality needs to die, and die tomorrow.

Oh B'Lee me Mr.Kim I knew Crowley would be burned at the stake if he didn't attend.I would just like to have seen him refuse to go and not
be called a racist, but rather a man of principle and integrity.Terms that seem to have been lost in the quagmire of political correctness and
apathy of the "ME" generation.winking
