I read that Victoria has stopped testing for Swine Flu.
I wonder if that is to keep the recorded numbers down?
It show's their ignorance in trying to combat the situation.

If you ignore it long enough, it really will take care of itself. It's one of those self-correcting problems.

People in Sydney have always referred to people in Victoria as south of the border. So i guess it makes sense a flu coming from Mexico should impact so hugely on us.

Swine flu is about is dangerous as a TAN. Every year they create a BOOGIE man disease and watch and record how the world responds.
Last year was SARS. The Chicken disease REMEMBER? Your still here right?

Grow some and turn your tv off. Swine Flu is for dum-asses.

This may be the first thing you've ever posted that made any damned sense at all, Mr. Blind Squirrel.

Yep, probably the first time I've agreed with Madmex. Still, I'm thinking about heading for the Northern Territory. It'll be a long walk and a longer swim, but I think I can do it.

It has a 0.6% mortality ratio? Sorry, but that's just not really very scary, is it? Even if 50 million people got it, that's only 300,000 dead, just a little more than the Sumatra Tsunami. The 1918 Spanish Flu killed an estimated 10-20%. I have other things to worry about.

Anybody else ever read "The Stand"? First Stephen King book I ever read. Pretty good plague story with horror and supernatural overtones of course, a la King you might say.

No, but I watched that goddam "The Happening" on cable on Saturday, and I want to taser M. Knight Shlammerlammer in the NUTS! Piece of shit. It was actually a pretty decent horror movie, up until the last five minutes, when nothing fucking happened. I've sat here for the last two hours, so tell me what the fuck it was, and where it came from, you filthy foreign cock-sucker! If I had paid $8.50 to see that in the theater, I would have had to fire-bomb the snack bar on my way out. With all that popcorn oil back there, you just know it would go right up, too.

M. Night Shyamalan is more about suspense and surprise than he is horror, more spooky and weird than actually terrifying and bloody. He's Twilight Zone meets Alfred Hitchcock.

Kids don't even get into the movies for $8.50 here in Oz! What are you complaining about?
