Dunno why anyone would want a container loaded backwards like this one was but this pic sure points up what a bad idea that can be eye

only reason I can think of and have seen done, would be two short containers back to back on a long trailer...with the tractor out of the way you can load from both ends...

Dude shouldn't have gotten stoned while driving, but, damn, that's a big rock he's got.

I see your point PJ and from the markings on the container it might well be there's another one behind it too. But, loading it like this also means it would almost certainly have to be picked off the trailer with a crane too, which dudn make a whole lot of sense since you couldn't drop the trailer at a dock with it loaded this way either.

No matter what, it sure seems that the load wasn't properly blocked in when it was loaded. This means the driver likely had no way of knowing he was takin his life in his hands by even carring such a load this way ...... which pretty much figures eye

a crane like this one...or one of these would work too...
still hard to say for sure why they would configure the load that way...but I know I have seen some pretty crazy stuff done in my time...not sure what country that is but I'm guessing their regulations aren't as strict as in the U.S.

also notice the two black rectangular shapes along the bottom edge, on the side of the container, those are holes where a forklift can pick it up, seeing where those holes are at shows that it is a twenty foot container

seriously...if you see a SWIFT truck on the road keep your eye on it...try to avoid driving anywhere near them...if you have to pass one on the freeway, do it as quickly as possible, do not drive alongside of them any longer than you have to...
I'm not kidding...
Swift hires most of their drivers right out of truck driving school, so they are mostly green...
they are one of the carriers we use to ship our product and I generally see three or four of them on any given day...let's just say that more often than not, they aren't the brightest crayons in the box...

what Swift stands for:
student with idiot for trainer
sure wish I finished training
slow wagon in fast traffic
