If you don't engage in criminal activity then you have nothing to worry about.

Those who believe such power will never be abused and turned against law abiding citizens only prove their own lack of understanding about government and human nature.

Many here are old enough to remember the craziness of the 60s and how the cops went waaaaay to the other side of right, and were eventually reeled in for a period of years.

That era has now seemingly ended and they are again practicing heavy handed tactics that are astray of what our rights as citizens allow for in how we're treated, and hopefully, sanity will eventually return, swinging the pendulum back more towrds center again ..... but I do have my doubts this time.

In my mind, anyone feeling that cops will never abuse their powers is just naive and waaaaaay too trusting drinking smiley

Well I was in the military in the early '70s and did see what happened in the '60s as well. I never joined in on all the hippie bullshit back then so I never had any problems with the police, maybe there is a moral there. I do remember seeing the protests of that era getting out of hand and the police having to get involved. I remember being spit on when I was seen in public in my uniform which is why the military started allowing us to wear civies in public when not on duty. So much for peceful protests.

oh it's just beast again. smiling bouncing smiley

in this new "police state" i am betting that you are on the list to fuck with, whatcha wanna bet? people who don't want or like, or think this would violate their rights. your rights are not in question here. you do not have the right to break the law, nor is it a priveledge. if you break the law, you pay, period! if you don't like that the police are attaining newer technology to catch people, than you are one of the people whose door will be kicked in. ya better get under the bed beast, you're next. drinking smiley

You are right Fossil. Don't break the law and you have nothing to worry about. YOu might not agree with some of the laws but they are laws and it doesn't give you the right to break them. If you do the crime you must be willing to do the time.

o.k. little anon, if a police state were to arise, what the hell do you think you would do to prevent it?
vote for someone else? they'll be on the same program because politicians get to the presidential level, they are bought and paid for by large companies and more importantly by their respectable parties. they have no original ideas only the platform of said party.
maybe you will take the fight to the streets? smiling bouncing smiley i'll be watching you getting the shit kicked outta you or even shot in the street on CNN. eye

If a police state were begun here there is nothing little anon could do except maybe put a gun to his head and pull the trigger in protest.
