For the youngsters and our friends outside the US, "See the USA in a Chevrolet" was an advertising slogan from a long time ago and this is a Chevrolet truck apparently full of Cubans who would like to get to the USA, so ............

I just can't figure out why people will go to such lengths and take such dangerous chances to leave a place ruled by such a utopian form of govarnment (as has been suggested by other(s) on this site) to come to the US.

The only thing that nearly 50 years of sanctions has proven is that the Cubans are even more stubborn than the U.S. I want some goddam cigars. There really is no substitute. To borrow a phrase, "Close, but no cigar."
