The trick is to be polite and smile and then thank them for doing their jobs (protecting us all from the terrorists) if there is a problem. Do not call them "Nazis", that is a little too close to home.

If you don't like being polite and nice to these people, then I suggest you stay home. Any time you travel to a foreign place, you must show respect for the locals, whether it is China, Saudi Arabia or Homeland Security La-La Land (the imaginary place where the TSA is making a difference).

Seriously, though, it is a good strategy for the TSA is to petty and random. The real terrorists are willing to lay down their lives in an instant to acheive their goals, but they are scared to death of rotting in a US prison where there are no virgins -- none.

Ya...well same in Toronto...thing is a terrorist isn't going to set a bomb off in the airport. So there is nothing to worry about. They want the plane. And if they are a so called terrorist, the chance of catching them is well, very slim unless they slip up. The "TSA" and Airport checkpoint security around the world is really there just to emmit the illusion of security. Its to deter the threats, and impose a false sense of security. Things get through at one airport but won't at another. Happens everyday. Liquids gels creams...Hah...We do our best but at the end of the day..did we make a difference? Over in Europe and Asia its a little different. When you have a AK47 or any other automatic aimed at you, its best to do whatever the man/woman tells you. Here in North America we welcome you with, can you please do this, thank you have a nice day. LOL. Security or customer service?

Agree with the comment about what and where things get through. There was an article in the newspaper here in NZ where a passenger boarding a domestic flight watched as security took some knitting needles of an old lady as she went through security, then when he was on the plane he could smell petrol. He brought this to the attention of the crew who searched and found another passenger had carried a chainsaw on in his carry-on luggage and it was leaking petrol. The passenger with the chainsaw said that security had noticed the saw, but had checked their list of banned items and told him chainsaws were not listed so he was fine!

I think this not graphicly correct, I mean, Does TSA actually hire white people? and if they do, are any of them male?
