I just wonder how many people are really unintelligent enough to belive that daylight savings time actually creates more daylight in the world. I am truly sorry this person is from my home state of Arkansas, we are not all inbred mountain folks, only about .2 percent.

Sadly I don't think this one is irony. The last paragraph pretty much nails it, she's serious.

Why did you blank out her name Pro? People as stupid as her deserve to be named and shamed. Her name (according to Snopes.com) is Connie M. Meskimen.

Don't you just lovely a democracy where any inbred cretin can vote and help choose those who get into office?

I did not blank out her name, it was already like that...

Actually, the Snopes page refers to a Mr Meskimen, though, with a name like Connie, that sounds a bit unlikely. I can't see why you think he/she is stupid: this letter and the others shown on snopes are brilliantly funny and clearly not meant to be taken seriously. Not being American, I have no opinion about his political views, but I can't see politics having much to do with his/her sense of humour.
