the average level is ten feet,at least it was,when i lived there

Just a couple of years ago it was running around 16 or 17 feet. Then it got up to 18 or so and the people over in Sanibel were bitchin' about the amount of fresh water that had to be released down the Caloosahatchee river to keep big O from bustin' it's levees.
