Very interesting contraption Nigel, first time I see something like that, for what I can see it looks like the chasis or bottom part of a M41 or similar vehicle (rear driven sprocket), with main roadwheels replaced and made to look like the Panzer V Tiger I , I doubt the body/turret came from a real Tiger I, most probable it is welded plate fabricated to look like the Tiger I.

Isn't this one of the 3 "fakes" that Steven Spielberg had built for the movie "Saving Private Ryan"?
I do know they fabricated the upper superstructure and turrets out of steel and some wood to match Tiger I's and they did put them on old T-55 chassies.

You are probably right Thanatos. I don't know though, I just found the pic somewhere. I think it is rather well done, better than the Tiger in "The dirty dozen"
