I put a ZX10r 2004 suspension and a zx12r 2005 and it handles way better. Turn in is much easier and it much more flickable from side to side. I weighed it on salvage scales and it is 25lbs lighter now. 90130 what do you think?

Nice work. Anything you can do to shave unsprung weight off the bike will result in better handling, especially with a bike as big as the ZX12.

Just bought a 2007 VFR800 Interceptor. 25th anniversary red/white/blue

Still spanking the local punks on my R1s and CBRs.smiling bouncing smiley

Thanks. I want to try some other changes with aero's and the exhaust. Hint, I still love the R-1 front end and that huge pipe on the side would look better under the bike or seat.

I was a Chrysler tech at a dealership for 5 years.

It isn't clairvoyance to suggest that your Chrysler corporation minivan needs a transmission, it's a statement of fact.

For almost 25 years since the Caravan and Voyager's inception, these things have been a thorn in every owner's side, and a guaranteed money maker for transmission shops everywhere.

I do have a crystal ball, Fossil...it's telling me that I'll be having another beer soon.smileys with beer

Maybe I should hot rod the van with a different motor and trans. Might last longer than the next voyager setup lol. Any suggestions? It's just sitting there and I have an awesome tool setsmiling bouncing smiley.

Hell Duane, no need to swap in a different motor to make that Voyager fly. Here's the deal, yank the tranny out and have it rebuilt to a heavy duty spec and then drop a twin turbo set up off a Mitsu 3000GT VR4 on the motor. You'd have a bona fide sleeper that would stomp the pejeebers outta most anything you came across with it smileys with beer

This is assuming it has the 3.0l V-6 which actually is a SOHC variant of the DOHC twin turbo 3.0l motors used in the 300GTs.

BTW, here's a way to save BIG $$ anytime you need engine parts (if it's a 3.0). Don't even talk to a Chrysler dealer! Call up Mitsu and tell 'em you need parts for a 3000GT (DOHC variant) or a Montero (SOHC variant). Mitsu sells their (identical) parts for typically 40-50% less than Chrysler does.

Sweet deal. What do you think that sort of setup would run cost wise? If I sourced off ebay and such. Can I re-flash the computer or will it require the specific model, and I imagine the cv joints and axle would require some beef. Cool idea, and turbo would also keep the tank full longer than a straight out built motor. If I can get the motor and trans at the same time would it be better to switch both and shorten the half shafts?

You guys are nuts. I own a pristine 3000GT VR4. Six speed, AWD, twin turbo. A 1994 pearl yellow car with only 5,500 miles on it, sits in my hangar next to my bikes and other cars. I'll tell you what, Duane...why don't you buy that from me and ditch the van? You got kids? Let 'em ride on the roof. Thrill ride!

What would it cost to do this ? Does the old addage of speed equals dollars squared/cubed ring a bell buddy grinning smiley

It would be problee be cheaper (and a DAMNED sight easier!) to buy 90130s 3000GT-VR4, all things considered smiling bouncing smiley

Hey 90130, ever run across a Spyder version of the 3000GT-VR4 ? Electric hide away hardtop convertible, like the old Skyliners it electro-mechanically folds the hardtop into the trunk ? That is one truly rare car ! A buddy of mine had one he bought off of Eddie Balfour. It was the cat shit! Looks like a totally different car altogether than the typical 3000GTs since it has a wicked "bubble" hardtop roof. It looks more like it ought to have a Ferrari logo on on it smileys with beer

Sadly though because of the sheer weight of these models, even in V-6 twin turbo trim, the Eclipses/Talons/Lasers with either the 2.0 4g63ts or my specialty the g4cs/4g63t 2.4 hybrid turbo motors always take top 1/4 mile honors at the DSM Shootout held in Ohio every summer.

But .... I've always LOVED the look of these cars smileys with beer

Had one in '96. Sold it for almost as much as I paid for it. Didn't care for all the squeaks, rattles, flexy body, and mushy handling.

Mitsubishi left all of the owners of these cars high and dry. There's very little in the way of parts available for these, other than parts shared by its fixed roof stablemate.

My VR4 gets driven little if at all, and my '96 Impala SS is a much more functional and practical car.

I bought an '07 Sprinter to haul the dogs, car parts, and mo-sickles.
