When I was puttin it all together I couldn't remember the last time I used the
old floppy drive or even had a real need for the second DVD drive I had in it
before so I just left 'em out. I did install a cuppla hard drive coolers this
time though, Can't ever get too much cooling

Hmmm .... 10 yrs ago a machine with a 233mhz processor, 32megs of ram, onboard
stereo 2.0 audio/shitty video, 8X CD-RW drive, 20 gig HD, floppy drive,
keeboard, mouse, one case fan & a 15" monitor sold for $2000 with a
1st gen DVD ROM as a $200 add on, and Windows 95 was the OS commonly found.
By comparison this system has a 2.13mhz dual core processor with a sweet CPU
cooler/fan (CPU temp at a cool 93 degrees at full tilt boogie), 3 additional
system fans, MoBo with onboard 7.1 HD digital audio, 6 USB 2.0 ports, firewire

individual fan cooled aluminum enclosures), all resting nicely in a completely
all aluminum case, wireless USB trackball mouse/USB keeboard and runnin on a
rockin Linux OS - Ubuntu 7.04 with a total investment of just under $1000.
