Lt. Col. Shelton F. Lankford

Lt. Col. Shelton F. Lankford, U.S. Marine Corps (ret) – Retired U.S. Marine Corps fighter pilot with over 300 combat missions flown. 21-year Marine Corps career.

* Letter to the Editor 2/5/07: Regarding 9/11 "Our government has been hijacked by means of a "new Pearl Harbor" and a lot of otherwise good and decent people who are gullible enough to think that the first three steel-framed buildings in history fall down because they have some fires that the fire fighter on the scene said could be knocked down with a couple of hoses and through which people walked before they were photographed looking out the holes where the plane hit . One of these - bldg 7, was never hit by a plane and even NIST is ashamed to advance a reason for its collapse. And, miracle of miracles, these three buildings just happened to be leased and insured by the same guy who is on tape saying they decided to "PULL" the last one to fall." [www.michigandaily.com] [Editor's note: WTC Building 7 was 610 feet tall, 47 stories, and was not hit by an airplane. It would have been the tallest buliding in 33 states. However, no mention of its collapse appears in the 9/11 Commission's "full and complete account of the circumstances surrounding the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks." Watch the collapse video here. And 5 1/2 years after 9/11, the Federal government has yet to publish its promised final report that explains the cause of its collapse.]

* Statement to this website 2/20/07: "This isn't about party, it isn't about Bush Bashing. It's about our country, our constitution, and our future. ...

Your countrymen have been murdered and the more you delve into it the more it looks as though they were murdered by our government, who used it as an excuse to murder other people thousands of miles away.

If you ridicule others who have sincere doubts and who know factual information that directly contradicts the official report and who want explanations from those who hold the keys to our government, and have motive, means, and opportunity to pull off a 9/11, but you are too lazy or fearful, or ... to check into the facts yourself, what does that make you? Scholars for 9/11 truth have developed reams of scientific data. Michael Ruppert published an exhaustive account of the case from the viewpoint of a trained investigator. David Ray Griffin provides a context for the unanswered or badly answered questions that should nag at anyone who pretends to love this country.

Are you afraid that you will learn the truth and you can't handle it? ...

Do a little research. Google is a wonderful tool.

What does it all add up to? The Commission was, as was the Warren Commission before it, a dog and pony show ... " Link to full statement

* Member: Pilots for 9/11 Truth Association Statement: "Pilots for 9/11 Truth is an organization of aviation professionals and pilots throughout the globe that have gathered together for one purpose. We are committed to seeking the truth surrounding the events of the 11th of September 2001. Our main focus concentrates on the four flights, maneuvers performed and the reported pilots. We do not offer theory or point blame. However, we are focused on determining the truth of that fateful day since the United States Government doesn't seem to be very forthcoming with answers."

But it is about Bush bashing. If it weren't then nobody would even look for a reason to blame 9/11 on the administration. Just because someone says it is not Bush bashing doesn't make it true nor does it make the assumptions true either.

It doesn't matter if it's for Bush bashing or not, what matters is the truth whatever the motives are, and its not true that if it weren't (for Bush bashing) then no one would be looking for truth, if that's the case then....damn...

When someone does something or is doing something and you say they did and/or are doing it then they are going to say they didn't and you are just saying they didn't do it because you like them but saying someone else didn't do it because they're o.k. is saying they probably did it but you don't mind because you like them, now, if they say that those other guys did it then you can at least agree and let everyone know that you didn't do it unless of course you can prove that they did it first, then you didn't know that you weren't supposed to do it, even though you would never do that, sometimes it's just what is said but sometimes you can easily see that yes that one person would do that, if someone says they didn't or wouldn't without knowing that for sure then you have to ask if they're with the people that did it, because, when you say they didn't do it but it looks like they did then you are with them, if you're with them then you did it and if you did it too then you have nothing to say about who didn't do it, get it.

jgoin, gimme a break, everyone's just saying what they say to fuck with Bush, the further you keep reaching the more stupid you look. Let me get this straight, you're going to sit there and say Bush does good but people just put him down why, let me guess, they're jealous...... jgoin you are low. Anyone that stands with jgoin, please, back him up, I'd like to know who feels the way he does, that way I know who to laugh at. You should ask for a new position, this is not working out for you.

I don't get my position from anyone. I agree with Bush because he is doing what I would do in his position overseas. I don't agree with him on everything domestic but I do agree with him on Afghanistan and his invasion of Iraq. I have wanted someone to invade and destroy Saddam for a decade prior to the invasion. Now I will support anyone who wants to do it to Iran and Syria.

Karma is like rust. It NEVER sleeps. Bush was a lazy, academically undistinguished, spoiled rich kid who should've been kept out of the leadership pool before he got close enough to piss in it. He would have never been President if he hadn't been bought and paid for by War for Profit Fascists. (Or Corpratists, if you prefer Mussolini's white wash term. Although he didn't coin it quite in time to keep from becoming lamp post decor.)

Geroge W. Bush is the poster child for the future of a semi-illiterate Democracy.

Culture has been decried as evil and the only thing that matters is your tax refund. Which can later be stolen back many times later in the form of inflation.

Like ole Forrest Forrest Gump says: Stupid is as Stupid Does.

We are what we vote.

Smarten up.

Demand better candidates and then vote for them based on facts and not privately funded media based smear tactics.

"Demand better candidates and then vote for them based on facts and not privately funded media based smear tactics."

I submit that there is no way to find the true facts on candidates because all avenues of information gathering is media in one form or another and all are privately funded. There is also no way to force a better selection of candidates because there is no voice we can use to to let our displeasure be known. All elections are bought and paid for by someone and have been since the technological revolution begain.
