If there were EVER a politician that were to speak the truth they'd damned sure never get elected !

The voting public (as a whole) doesn't want to hear the truth (there definitely ARE exceptions, myself included thank you). They wanna hear something nice that sounds like it COULD be the truth.

It's kinda like every woman I've ever met has said "I believe in absolute honesty and always telling and receiving the truth". See how much validity there is in that statement when you try tellin 'em tactfully that they've put on a few pounds, or they look like ass in a particular pair of jeans or a dress.

Jack Nicholson said it best in "A Few Good Men" ..... "You can't handle the truth !"
