Chavez is not a dictator. He was actually elected, unlike Bush/Cheney, in two regular elections, and one "referendum", that were considered quite legitimate by the international observers there.

Unlike the 2000 USA elections that the rest of the world understands was a rigged election. Everyone, EVERYONE, knows this... except Americans of course.

Fidel is a nutcase. But Chavez is actually doing amazing things for his country. He is actually alleviating poverty there. the USA could learn a thing or two.

Yeah, Chavez is doing amazing things. I guarantee you that the 85% of Venezuelans living in poverty won't see a dime of this fat bastard's oil money, and not a damn thing will change =

And just WTF do you know about our elections, anyway? Just the typical sour grapes from a bunch of sore losers.

90130: Ask gregpalast.com about what happened to the elections. Sour grapes? Hardly. Gore is a wooden fuckhead. The only serious difference is that Cheney is a creepy power-hungry golem, and Bush is clearly not presidential material. He's actually not functionally the president.

Do you know how many ballots were "lost" during that election? Do you know how ChoicePoint sold a list of Texas' ex-cons names to Florida, so that they could "purge" their voter lists... of blacks. Any close match of names was enough to scrub the voter rolls. Thousands were illegitimately denied their vote on election day. And Bush "won" by 517 votes. Considering the number of people in front of polling places who were sent to "challenge" voters (illegally, I might again add), the Florida no-count is a fraud.

In 2004 the overlap between "poor" and "black" and "democratic" neighborhoods in Ohio, with voting machine errors in polling places.. is almost perfect. The highest concentration of vote machine errors is in the poorest and most liberal neighborhoods.

The 2004 election was stolen to. And they'll do it again in 2008. Mark my words.

=cui bono=

Btw, ask anyone in the rest of the world if they think the US 2000 election was an "american coup".
Only propagandized American's think it wasn't.

Propagandized, hardly. I would agree that in your words = Al Gore is a wooden fuckhead = heheh! but let's get past all of the post election rhetoric. I made my choice as did millions of other Americans who should lead the country for the next four years, and my decision was based on who would be the stronger leader. While I do not agree with many things this sitting president has done, he was the obvious pick in 2000 and again in 2004. Say what you will about him.
