i get this shit 90% of the time i try to get on the internet which means i get to shut off the modem and all of the routers and then restart them and reboot the computer
and somtimes i get to do this four or five times before i can get a connection
seems the people at comcast spend more time "tweaking" their network than actually providing service
get off the crystal meth! if it's not broke then don't fucking fix it

when you get on another terminal after using comcast, it takes great restraint not to kick the shit outta the tower to get stuff to load faster.
i'm spoiled from day 1.

i've had this isp for the last two years too, first year it was great i never even turned off the modem... hadda reset a router or a bridge from time to time, but never anything to do with the cable
then like a year ago i hadda go thru this process every week or so, no biggie... but the last two months this shit happens almost every time i try to get on the internet and the network within my house is always down, constantly reseting the routers
as for dailup i vaguely remember using that a hundred years or so really slow so fuck that... but i was always able to use the internet
i'm going to opt for dsl as a connection in the future it might not be quite as fast, but alot more reliable... eh fuck that i'm gonna finda a way to highjack a t1 lol

modem's fine... i was talkin' to one of my classmates justa sec ago; and he was bitchin' about the same thing
i think what it is, is in certain areas they're trying new things out and when they make an improvement on their in one area, they'll send it to all the rest
my area's like a guenni pig, i guess

Try updating your modems firmware, if they are making improvements at there end it will be good to have the latest at you end.

I'm not really quite geeky enough to understand the whole thing but, one friend of mine was complaining of how the constant changes to his IP address was causing havoc with his system, and a lot of down time on the servers for his Comcast service, which a few other friends living in rapidly developing areas north of Dallas also complained of.

Comparatively, my DSL service hasn't been down more than twice in over 2 yrs now and I've never had to reset or restart my modem even once :>winking
