why 'air' at the opposite sides of the Jupiter Equator blow in opposite
directions? This is very much unlike the Earth's wind system.

*up3up4* I think you mean 'wind', not air. Watch closer, it's not just opposite
sides of the equator, there are distinct bands of cloud blowing in opposite
directions in both the 'north' and 'south' hemispheres.
