Taxes and tags and first payment away. The guy lowered the suspension but Im
setting it back,he said he has all the parts. What do you think about suspension
settings for someone over 200lbs.
Anonymous Report This Comment Date: November 02, 2005 01:35PM
over 200lbs.... a forklift.

I never even changed any of the settings on my bike's forks or shock, and I'm
220Lbs. I'll get you the basic settings and post 'em here. You'll want to make
adjustments in small increments; set your preload first, then compression, and
finally rebound. Don't even bother with any of this until you restore the ride
height in the back end.

I have two tickets and 3 points on my licence and they gave me a quote of 1100
per year on a R1.Who is your insurance company,I know you told me once before
but I pick the bike up tommorow and start the policy. Thanks for the help man.Im
pretty amped now.

No trouble at all. I'm insured with State Farm, they seem to be pretty good
rate-wise. Like I mentioned before, they don't insure by model designation, ie;
"Ninja" etc...they go by engine size/displacement. Of all of my bikes
(15 of 'em) the most expensive to insure is my 2004 FJR1300 ABS, but that's
still only $268.00 a year!
I have a '96 Impala SS and a '94 3000GT VR4 on my car policies, so maybe they'll
treat you better if you insure your cars with them.

Even though the bike is beautifull from any angle this Allmost makes you forget
it not a pet or something because it seems like its looking at you.You get the
idea why people call their cars by names. Its actually my favorite picture.

Ah, the Japanese school of design...you can see "faces" in many of
their cars and motorcycles.
The R1, with its wide projector beam headlamps and flared ram air snorkels
emulates a predatory bird's beak and nostrils, like a hawk or a falcon. Suzuki's
own Hayabusa has a different look, but still has a "bird" shape, and
not coincidentally, the name "Hayabusa" is the Japanese name for a
Peregrine Falcon, one of the fastest predatory birds on Earth. I was amused but
not surprised that the front of my Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 was styled after a
famous Japanese samurai warrior's mask, worn by "Benkei"... a
mythylogical hero often seen in Japanese Kabuki theatrical performances. Pretty
cool, huh?

State Farm's underwriting dept. is pretty strict as far as tickets and
accidents go...I'd keep checking around. Over a $1000 a year is a hell of a lot
of money. High school didn't do a hell of a lot for me either, man. I just
things up along the way.

That is a funny movie. My personal favorites Yellowbeard,Arthur,Johnny
Dangerously,Caddyshack,Foul Play, all the Zucker and Abrams films and Animal
House.Need some advice, the guy Im getting the bike from wants to get his name
off the lien but I've been told that Yamaha will not go for it,swaping names
even with a substantial downpayment. He's trying to buy a Mustang but they will
not allow him to while he owes that much. All amped with money in my pocket and
Yamaha dosn't even want it.I dont have good enough credit to get an additional
bike payment.Trying not to pull my hair out, anybody know any loopholes without
creditcard type(17%) payments.Still got my SV but hate the wait for the R1.
Anonymous Report This Comment Date: November 04, 2005 06:10AM
More than likely "Yamaha" is not the lienholder...it's actually HSBC
bank that issues and administers the account under the guise of "Yamaha
Motor Credit". This account is actually a REVOLVING type, just like a
credit card! They suck you in with a low 3.9 interest rate, and then it cruises
up to around 19% after the "promotional" period. These guys are
complete and total assholes to deal with, been there, done that, no more! You
want awesome financing and customer service? check this out; [
www.capitalone.com]
Anonymous Report This Comment Date: November 04, 2005 06:17AM
By the way, one word about HSBC's crooked tactics...if your payment is ONE day
late, they'll jack up the interest to a "penalty rate" (up to 24%
interest or more) and/or add all the finance charges from the day the purchase
was made, and tack that on your balance if you took out a no interest, no
payments promotional financing plan. Crooks, predatory lenders at the very
least.

You could buy my 2005 R1 Raven (black) still in the crate! You'll have to work
out the shipping though! $10,000 takes it!
Duane Report This Comment Date: November 04, 2005 11:30AM

your Raven lol.If not Ill try to get co-signer or just pay this SV off
quick.Thats gonna suck but hey I did earn my credit cant blame Bush
