Yup it's a Panther tank, not sure what model. Actually considered one of the
best tanks of world war 2. The design was taken from the Russian T-34, which
was probably the best tank produced during the war. The original design for the
T-34 came from an american named Christie; and you thought that he just made
good cookies! Anyway, for some reason or other the american military didn't
want Christie's design, so he ended up selling it to mother Russia. Truth is
stranger than fiction this time. C ya!

My M1A2 platoon would take a whole battalion of these pussies. M26 was a better
tank by the way.

Sorry 5072, the 'Christie myth' has been thoroughly debunked. The Russians only
borrowed Christie's suspension design; turned out it sucked and they went with a
different suspension on all their later tanks. Check it out here:

11673, that may be true, but as the M-26 was never fielded in significant
numbers, while the Panther saw extensive service, it hardly matters. And making
the banally true claim that an M1A2 could beat a Panther...well, that's
something only an American would do.

Thanks Gruff, I stand corrected. The M26 Pershing tank came on the sence
somewhere around January 1945, it had a 90 mm gun; that was slightly bigger than
the German 88 mm. As for Christie, well that's the last time I'll call him
comrade!
